Testimonials

JILL

Jill, you were so amazing and helpful in preparing my body for having a baby and then finally in getting pregnant. Your care enabled me both physically and emotionally to have a healthy pregnancy. We are now so thrilled to have our sweet Ruth as a part of our lives and are grateful to you for the part you played in bringing her to us.
— JANICE
The pain in my left knee was crippling. At times I could not walk at all. Western Doctors told me it was a serious degenerative bone condition and that the only way to remedy the pain would be through expensive knee surgery to remove the bone fragments. Since I had no health insurance I turned to Jill Kleiber. After a few wonderful acupuncture treatments my knee pain subsided and for three years now it has not returned. I don’t understand how it works, I only know it worked for me.

Jill helped me so much in trying to get pregnant after an ectopic pregnancy and then helping me with discomforts and anxiety of the pregnancy after that. It is easy to get appointments and the office is comfortable and relaxing. Also I have the prospective of being an OBGYN myself and refer patients to her regularly all of whom have been very happy with their treatment! I highly recommend West Hartford acupuncture.

MAURA

I have been going to West Hartford Acupuncture, and seeing Maura for nearly 2 years now. I initially went there because I had tried everything else I could think of, other than surgery, for my shoulder and back pain. After many months of consistent treatment and figuring out where to treat I am getting relief like never before. I can now stand on concrete floors again without getting debilitating pain in my low back. I can throw a football without fearing that my shoulder will hurt for the rest of the day or that I will have tingling and numbness into my hand. The process isn’t overnight, especially for persistent pain and injuries, but it is definitely worth it.
— Asif C.
I started acupuncture during a nasty bout of sciatica, but have stayed for the relaxation and self-care. I look forward to my sessions and joke about peeling myself off the table after. Maura is lighthearted and compassionate. Such positive vibes!

KAROLINA

On 12/8 I developed Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss in my left ear. [...] After one month of treatment with absolutely no improvement, I was told that the hearing would not return, the tinnitus would continue, and I was set up to begin the process for a cochlear implant. In the meantime I began electro acupuncture with Dr. Karoline Zagaja and little by little I began to hear sounds and the tinnitus was more manageable! By the time that I had the initial appointment for the cochlear implant [...], to the doctor’s surprise, I had gained enough hearing that I’m no longer a candidate for [the] implant! I’m thrilled and extremely grateful to Dr. Zagaja that I now have been told that I only need a hearing aid. And who knows, with additional electro acupuncture treatments, more hearing may return and the tinnitus may continue to diminish! If not, I’m still totally thrilled with this miraculous improvement! Thank you Dr. Zagaja!!!

In August 2022, I started researching different ways to eliminate the shooting, stabbing pain in my right thigh. This pain would keep me up at night, [and] my leg would go numb in the middle of the day, at random intervals. I’d gone to a doctor who told me that I simply needed to lose 20 pounds and the pain would disappear. I’d had [this pain] for over a year, [and] hadn’t gained any weight or done anything different from my normal routine. Still, I lost 20 pounds, and no, the pain didn’t stop. [...] So I started researching on my own and saw that acupuncture worked to heal nerve damage and numbness. I went into West Hartford Acupuncture and met with Karolina. She was the first healthcare professional who actually listened to me, who didn’t dismiss my pain. I [started going] once a week to try to reduce my pain. As the weeks went on, we added e-stim, and then cupping, and by November we were seeing amazing results. I no longer had shooting pain in my leg that woke me up at night. The numbness lessened dramatically, no longer spanning my whole thigh, but only a small patch right over my IT band. [After seeing such great results] I also asked Karolina to help address my migraines and some tightness in my lower back and shoulders. The relief after each session feels like going for an hour-long massage. It’s relaxing and soothing, and the pain management is phenomenal. I find WeHa Acupuncture and Karolina to be absolutely invaluable for my physical care, my mental health, and my stress relief.

ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture induces a strong anti-inflammatory response in the body and increases blood flow to compromised tissues, muscles, joints, and organs. Studies show that the body also releases endorphins, serotonin, and dopamine in response to acupuncture. This accounts for the relaxation and stress-relieving effects of the treatments. In essence, acupuncture stimulates the body to heal itself.
